Our client in the Petrochemical (Electrical) industry is seeking to employ a qualified Construction Manager / Site Manager to join their team. Please note that this is a (fixed-term contract).

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all site construction activities to ensure safe, on-time, and quality-compliant execution.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, civil where applicable).
- Ensure full compliance with Sasol HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and safety documentation.
- Implement and enforce quality-control measures, ensuring all work meets Sasol and project standards.
- Oversee daily and weekly planning, scheduling, and progress tracking to keep the project on program.
- Conduct and lead site meetings, toolbox talks, and coordination sessions with stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit daily reports, progress updates, risk registers, and non-conformance reports where required.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and delays to ensure continuous workflow and minimal disruption.
- Manage materials, tools, and resources, including coordination with procurement and stores.
- Ensure accurate as-built documentation, test packs, and handover documentation are completed on time.
- Drive a strong safety and quality culture among the workforces.
- Provide technical guidance to teams and resolve on-site problems quickly and effectively.
Experience & Qualification
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Qualified Electrician (red seal or equivalent recognized trade).
- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Construction Manager in the electrical or multidisciplinary construction environment.
- Proven experience on multi-discipline projects (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, civil interfaces).
- Extensive experience working in the Sasol petrochemical environment.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Sasol HSE standards, procedures, and risk-management frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Sasol Quality Control processes, documentation, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate construction teams to ensure project progress remains on schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site full-time.
- Computer literate (MS Projects, Excel, Word, and relevant construction management systems).
