Requirements
  • Matric plus an undergraduate qualification as recognized by SAQA in Public Management/Public Relations at NQF level 6/7.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience within a Customer Relations Environment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Skills & Competencies: knowledge & understanding of Housing Code, Housing Processes, Human Settlements programmes, political and community dynamics. Multilingual. Community research, environmental scoping. Client orientation, local government understanding. Planning and organising skills, coordination & events management, negotiation & conflict resolution, policy interpretation, administration. Customer relation, presentation, training, report writing, problem solving and listening skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Duties
  • Render and promote stakeholder engagements.
  • Implement developed Departmental Public participation strategy and programmes.
  • Conduct Ntirhisano & Public Participation Consultation.
  • Provide logistical arrangement for convening of stakeholders Forum for MEC outreach programme.
  • Prevention of service delivery disruptions.
  • Identify research needs and trends on service delivery disruptions.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate service delivery disruptions.
  • Implement interventions on service delivery disruptions.
  • Report service delivery disruption issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate, refer and ensure/resolve all memorandum of demands.
  • Render service delivery and rapid response services in the Human Settlement service centres.
  • Render and promote social facilitation and cohesion.
  • Collect, investigate and respond to or refer all queries received timeously.
