Join our dynamic New Business Sales team as a Commercial Sales Consultant! We’re seeking a driven, client-focused professional with experience in Commercial Short-Term Insurance sales and underwriting. If you have a passion for building relationships, delivering comprehensive insurance solutions, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide sales support to Portfolio Managers through the promotion of commercial products.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to all new business leads by preparing comparative quotes that address clients’ insurance needs.
  • Negotiate rates and apply sound underwriting principles within company guidelines.
  • Upsell and offer comprehensive insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain efficient turnaround times and policy administration.
  • Build and maintain value-adding relationships with brokers and internal teams.
  • Assist with processing new business and loading new policies as needed.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets consistently.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • FETC in Short-Term Insurance (NQF 4, 150 credits).
  • Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF 5+) is highly advantageous.
  • RE1 (Representative Exam) – must be successfully completed.
  • Class of Business certification (Personal & Commercial Lines).
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Commercial Insurance sales and underwriting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exposure to the TIAL Operating System is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).
