CA2-1A well-established Law Firm in Brooklyn is looking for a Senior Commercial Attorney / Head of Department to join their team.

Salary : Market Related based on experience.

Qualifications

• Reference : PTA
• Diploma or other qualification in Tax (or be prepared to enroll for course)
• Admitted Attorney
• 6 - 10 Years post articles experience in relevant fields of Corporate and Commercial Law
• Excellent Commercial, Company and Tax Law experience in a law firm
• At least minimum of 6 years' experience in drafting and amending Contracts, negotiating on Complex legal terms on behalf of clients, legal due diligence investigations

Responsibilities

• Drafting and amending Contracts, negotiating on Complex legal terms on behalf of clients
• Legal due diligence investigations
• Reviewing and overseeing business transactions, including B-BBEE structuring and restructuring
• Mergers with the Competition Commission and anticipating legal considerations of clients
• Engaging with SARS officials and Competition Commission officials
