Job summary

A manufacturing and engineering company is seeking a Coating and Lining Manager in Vereeniging. Candidates should have a diploma in Chemical or Polymer Science and at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in anti-corrosive applications. • Ensure the coating and lining manufacturing process meets customer specifications.
• Oversee effective setup of coating and lining operations.
• Lead installation and implementation of process improvements.

Education

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent

Job Title: Coating and Lining Manager

Salary: R45 000 – R60 000CTC

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• Diploma / Degree in Chemical or Polymer Science
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing / engineering / maintenance environment
• Minimum 5 years’ experience and knowledge in anti-corrosive applications and specifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience and knowledge in FBE, cohesive coating, and HDE coating applications and specifications
• NACE corrosion qualification and / or SAIW coating certification
• Ability to evaluate work output against standards and specifications
• Own reliable transport (essential)
• Willingness to work shifts
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in English – ability to read, write, and communicate effectively at all levels (essential)
• Punctual and reliable (essential)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the coating and lining manufacturing process meets customer specifications and requirements
• Oversee effective and efficient process setup of coating and lining operations
• Formulate, implement, inspect, document, and monitor systems related to coating and lining operations
• Lead installation and implementation of process improvements
• Resolve technical and operational issues promptly and effectively
• Communicate process requirements to all relevant stakeholders
• Monitor waste control and ensure efficiency targets are met
• Achieve agreed performance and quality objectives
• Execute duties in line with work instructions
• Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety standards in all areas of responsibility
