Job Description
We are seeking a recent graduate from a reputable South African institution to join our clinical research team as a Graduate Technology Analyst. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with strong hands‑on skills in modern productivity and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps) and foundational coding abilities. You will partner with specialized clinical and operational teams to design, build, and optimize technology solutions that streamline workflows, enhance data integrity, and enable smarter, more efficient decision‑making across the research lifecycle.
You will work on projects spanning data visualization, workflow automation, app development, and process optimization, helping to translate complex research needs into robust, user‑friendly tools.
Collaborate with clinical research stakeholders (e.g., clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, pharmacovigilance, regulatory) to understand process pain points and translate them into technical requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain low‑code applications and automations using Microsoft Power Platform:
Build dashboards and reports in Power BI to monitor study progress, KPIs, quality metrics, and operational performance.
Create Power Apps to streamline task tracking, study documentation, site support, and role‑based workflows.
Use Power Automate to integrate systems, reduce manual tasks, and standardize processes.
Write clean, maintainable code (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or C#) for data processing, ETL pipelines, and custom integrations with clinical systems when needed.
Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and audit trails to ensure compliance and integrity of clinical data.
Develop standardized templates, forms, and reusable components to drive consistency and scalability across studies.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and documentation to ensure successful adoption of tools.
Monitor performance and usage, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improve solutions based on feedback and metrics.
Adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., POPIA, GxP, company policies).
Coordinate with IT and InfoSec on access controls, environments, and governance for Power Platform and analytics solutions.
Contribute to innovation initiatives and proof‑of‑concept projects leveraging emerging technologies (e.g., AI‑assisted analytics, advanced visualization).
We are proud to be a company that embraces the value of bringing diverse, talented, and committed people together. The fastest way to breakthrough innovation is when diverse ideas come together in an inclusive environment. We encourage our colleagues to respectfully challenge one another’s thinking and approach problems collectively. We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
