Introduction

We are seeking a committed and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join a multidisciplinary team in White River Mpumalanga. This permanent role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals affected by substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. The psychologist will provide therapeutic services across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings.

Job Description

• Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence‑based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma‑informed care).
• Support patients through addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and psychiatric stabilization.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to case reviews.
• Participate in community outreach, staff training, and program development.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• Registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in addiction and psychiatric care.
