Job summary

A large primary school is seeking a Class Teacher with SENDCO and Inclusion Leader responsibility. This role involves leading the inclusion team and managing the provision for students with special needs, ensuring high standards of progress and attainment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, excellent teaching skills, and an understanding of the SEN Code of Practice. Salary: Teacher’s pay scale plus SEN allowance (amount dependent on experience)

Start date – After Easter/beginning of term 3.

Advertised as full time but there is some flexibility to consider part time for the successful candidate.

Golcar J I & N School, a large, two form entry primary school, within the Colne Valley area of Huddersfield are seeking an Inclusion leader. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified SENCO who, under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team, will lead and manage the provision of inclusion, personal development, SEMH/behaviour and Special Educational Needs. The focus for this role will be aligned to the new Ofsted framework for Inclusion. The role also involves leading the inclusion teaching assistant team, to ensure that all pupils are fully supported to achieve high standards of progress and attainment. The candidate will be responsible for determining the strategic development of the SEND policy and legal provision in school to ensure it further develops in a way that fully supports our pupils, including providing guidance and support to help ensure high quality, inclusive teaching of all pupils across the school.

  • Philosophy underpinned by attachment theory and neuro‑science
  • Someone who is organised, able to act on own initiative and prioritise their own workload within timescales.
  • A specialism in Art, English, Computing or Personal Development would be welcomed by the school.
