Requirements

  • Current annual registration with HPCSA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production Radiographer.
Duties
  • Ensure effective and efficient management and supervision of Radiography staff and services.
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of radiography equipment according to an ideal Hospital Realization and Maintenance Framework according to SAHPRA and OHSC.
  • Adhere and ensure compliance with Radiation Control Board and HPCSA legislation.
  • Production of high-quality diagnostic radiographs in accordance with prescribed protocols.
  • Provision, supervision and management of a 24-hour service delivery.
  • Be prepared to work early, late, weekend shifts and night shifts according to roster allocation.
  • Liaise with internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Partake and facilitate staff and student development.
  • Plan and organize the provision of Radiography services according to the vision and mission statements of the Department of Health.
  • Prioritize the implementation of cost‑saving measures in accordance with the PFMA.
  • Ensure a high level of patient care.
  • Ensure patient safety incident writing and root‑cause analysis is documented, reported and submitted to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate with external and internal professionals to ensure patient safety and fair treatment.
  • The above duties are not limited. Any other reasonable request in accordance with the job description shall be accommodated.
  • To manage implement Quality Assurance measures in the area of work to ensure maintenance of, and where possible improve, standards of patient care.
