A leading firm in the insurance sector is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to contribute to business strategy and provide financial leadership. The role requires a Qualified Actuary with senior leadership experience in the insurance industry. You will oversee financial strategy, compliance, and risk management while liaising with the Executive team and the Board. This position plays a critical role in driving sustainable growth and financial integrity within the organization, navigating a complex regulatory environment.

The Chief Financial Officer will provide end-to-end leadership of the finance function, partnering closely with the Executive team to support sustainable growth, strong governance, and long‑term value creation. This is a senior, standalone role with full accountability for financial strategy, performance, and integrity across the organisation.
The role requires a commercially astute finance leader who can balance strategic insight with operational rigour. You will guide decision‑making through robust financial analysis, oversee compliance and risk, and translate complex actuarial and financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
The client is a well‑established organisation operating within the insurance sector, known for its strong governance framework and focus on long‑term sustainability. The business is navigating growth and complexity within a highly regulated environment and requires a CFO who can operate confidently at both the Executive and Board level.
Contribute to the overall business strategy as a key member of the Executive team
Provide financial forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic insight to support growth initiatives
Advise the Board and Executive team on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements
Oversee financial risk management, internal controls, and audit processes
Provide financial oversight of actuarial models, pricing, and reserving
Partner with actuarial and underwriting teams to support profitability and sustainability
Engage with auditors, regulators, and other external stakeholders as required
Qualified Actuary status
A finance‑related degree
Senior financial leadership experience, ideally within the insurance industry
Strong understanding of insurance finance, risk, and regulatory environments
Proven experience operating at the Executive and Board level
Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
Excellent analytical and financial modelling capability
High levels of integrity, judgement, and professional credibility
Clear financial insight that supports confident Executive and Board decision‑making
Strong governance, compliance, and financial control across the organisation
Effective translation of actuarial and financial complexity into business value
