A qualified High School CAT teacher with a strong interest in expanding into the IT space, with support.

Holy Rosary School, situated in Edenvale, Johannesburg, is an Independent Catholic Girls’ School and a member of ISASA. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, full-time computer teacher, who is passionate about children and has a creative and curious mindset.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Education.
  • Or a computer related degree with a completed PGCE.
  • Valid SACE registration.
  • Prior teaching experience with a minimum of 5 years’ subject specialisation.
  • A sound understanding of the IEB curriculum will be an advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding results.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil success.
  • Knowledge of single-board computing devices (micro:bit and Arduino) Delphi, Java, SQL and object orientated programming principals would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage effectively with pupils and colleagues.
  • Excellent administrative, planning and organising skills.
  • Willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school.
  • Matric marking experience would be an added advantage.
  • Must be respectful of the School’s Catholic Ethos.

The position is available from 1 January 2026 – Negotiable.
