Job description

Job Introduction

G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for a Crew based at our operations in Upington, reporting to the Branch Manager.

In consideration of the position applied for, which entails the use and handling of firearms, and in compliance with legal regulations, prospective candidates will be required to submit a valid medical certificate confirming their fitness to carry and utilize a firearm before their employment can commence. It is important to note that the medical certificate is not mandatory for the initial interview stage. However, it will become a requirement when a candidate is being seriously considered for the position and subsequently subject to vetting and screening processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Loading of trucks destined for clients
• Collect firearm and kit from armoury
• Sign firearm and kit register
• Check CPC if in working condition
• Inside closed loading bay scan consignment and sign consignment receipt received from boxroom
• Print your E viper receipt - boxroom personnel to sign
• Deliver money to clients
• Delivery open safe open cpc place bag in cpc
• Client site chip cpc scan bags print e viper receipt client to sign
• Collection scan bags print two E Viper receipts
• Sign and exchange receipts
• Deliver consignment to box room
• You may collect consignment from clients or bank
• Count number of bags
• Print onboard receipt then handover consignment, receipt, scanner and keys to box room
• Sign boxroom handover receipt and boxroom personnel to sign your E Viper receipt
• Tidy up the truck

Health and Safety

Participate in the design / development / review / implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year.

Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

Discuss all safety incidents

Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting / committee / representative / management

Attend safety education and refresher programmes

Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace

Distribute safety information as and when required

Wear protective clothing all the time

Requirements

• Recently updated CV
• Clear copy of your ID
• Clear copy of your highest educational qualification
• Clear copy of your PSIRA Certificate
• Clear copy of your CIT (Cash In Transit Training Certificate)
• Clear copy of your SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate
• Clear copy of your Statement of Results report from Professional Firearms Trainers Council (PFTC) or Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA)
• Must have at least 2 - 3 years experience in the Cash In Transit field
• No credit record
• No criminal record
• May not be a registered as a director of any company / business
• Willing to relocate / travel at own cost (no transport or accommodation is paid by G4S / IZI Cash Solutions)
• New applicants must avail themselves for a pre-shooting assessment and OBET training which is a 4 day long course
