Job summary

A leading procurement agency in Cape Town is seeking a detail-driven Buyer Packaging & Procurement Specialist to optimize procurement processes. You will manage a dynamic portfolio, focusing on cost-efficiency, supply continuity, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have a diploma/degree in Procurement or Packaging and a minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement. Proficiency in Excel and JDE is preferred.

What Youll Do:

Strategically manage your portfolio to drive cost-efficiency and supply continuity.

Oversee local and international sourcing, ensuring quality, innovation, and differentiation.

Handle stock management, replenishment planning, and monthly forecasting.

Resolve supplier or quality issues swiftly and professionally.

Collaborate cross-functionally across Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, and Marketing.

Analyze market trends to minimize risk and maximize opportunity.

Input into costing, product setup (JDE), and pricing negotiations.

What You'll Need:

Diploma/Degree in Procurement or Packaging.

Minimum 3 yearsof experience in procurement (packaging experience a plus).

Proficient in Excel, Word, and Email; experience with JDE or similar ERP is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory control, and negotiation tactics.
