BI (Business Intelligence) Solutions Specialist
To improve and scale our current Qlik Sense implementation, design robust ETL/ELT processes and establish a future‑ready BI architecture (including a data warehouse / data lake).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement efficient ETL / ELT processes for integrating data from our Oracle‑based ERP system (IFS) into a data warehouse / data lake or similar architecture.
- Develop and maintain Qlik Sense applications, dashboards, and reports that meet business needs.
- Improve data modelling practices to enable reusability and scalability of BI assets.
- Write complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation and loading.
Architectural Planning
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of a new data warehouse or data lake environment.
- Recommend tools, technologies, and best practices aligned with business goals.
- Establish a data governance framework in collaboration with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with Executive and Department leaders to understand reporting and analysis needs.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and BI solutions.
- Provide guidance to power users and promote self‑service analytics best practices.
Foundation for Growth
- Document processes, models, and architectural decisions to build institutional knowledge.
- Assist in defining data quality and master data management processes as the BI function matures.
Your profile
- Specialist Knowledge Required:
- Expertise in SQL and relational database systems, preferably Oracle.
- Experience working directly with ERP data, preferably in an IFS ERP environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience with ETL / ELT developments, preferably in a Qlik Sense environment.
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and master data management principles.
- Practical Experience Required: 5+ years in a BI, data engineering or data analytics role.
- Competencies:
- An understanding of data modelling, data warehouse, data lake concepts and BI lifecycle.
- A strong business understanding with good interpretation skills.
- An excellent communicator with good stakeholder management skills.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
