About the role

We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to support our B2B sales pipeline. In this role, you’ll focus on connecting with organisations across the UK, EU and USA that are looking to upskill their teams through practical UX education.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, and booking high-quality meetings for the sales director, ensuring each handover is clear and grounded in the prospect’s context.

You’ll work closely with sales, marketing and product, sharing insight from conversations in the market and helping shape how we position our courses to organisations over time.

Your responsibilities
  • Research, identify and proactively seek out new business opportunities with organisations across priority markets in the UK, EU and USA that could benefit from our UX courses
  • Plan, run and continuously improve a consistent, scalable outbound prospecting approach across email, LinkedIn and phone
  • Research and target the right organisations and decision-makers, qualifying accounts based on firmographics, buying signals and relevance
  • Qualify leads against clear criteria
  • Engage prospects through email, LinkedIn, phone and other relevant channels
  • Understand client needs, objectives and constraints through prospecting and discovery calls
  • Book well-qualified meetings for the Sales Director, with clear context and notes
  • Take ownership of your pipeline and prioritise your work to consistently meet targets
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM of client activities and outreach
  • Provide regular reporting to the Sales Director on outreach activity, pipeline and conversion rates
  • Stay informed on market trends, carry out competitor analysis and monitor changes in how organisations buy training
  • Share market insights and feedback from prospects with the wider sales and marketing teams
  • Apply modern prospecting techniques, including AI-enabled support, to improve research quality, personalisation and outbound effectiveness
  • Stay curious about changes in education, learning delivery and how organisations invest in upskilling
About you
  • 3+ years’ experience in a BDR, SDR or Sales Account Executive role within a B2B environment, with exposure to B2B customers in the UK, EU or US being a bonus
  • Experience qualifying leads and setting pre-qualified meetings
  • Strongly target driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding outbound and meeting-set targets
  • Comfortable working to targets and measuring your own performance
  • Comfortable using AI as part of your day-to-day workflow to work more efficiently and make better decisions
  • Confident communicator who can build rapport and ask the right questions
  • Able to write clear, concise and relevant outbound messages that resonate with senior stakeholders
  • Organised and detail focused, meticulous in maintaining CRM hygiene and providing detailed handovers to the sales team
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales, product and marketing teams
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage time, priorities and targets with minimal supervision
  • Strong experience using CRM tools, HubSpot is a bonus
  • Serious about your job, but not so serious about yourself
