The individual would work in line with a weekly schedule and will include responsibilities of looking after and developing On Trade customer accounts based in Pretoria Region.

The role of BDM speaks for itself and requires competent individuals to increase revenue, volume, and profit for existing and new products nationally across the On Trade market.

Main Purpose/Objectives of the Job
  • Nurture and develop relationships with your allocated customer base
  • Developing the financial shape of your allocated customer base
  • Sourcing and growing new customers in the specified area
  • Establishing and supporting our client''s brand presence within outlets
  • Activation of required promotions and the execution of marketing activities as needed
  • Supporting operational efficiencies
  • Providing continuous feedback loops to enable business innovation and improvements.

The role requires solid sales experience, a valid drivers license, computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite), industry and product sales knowledge, commercial business acumen and strong negotiation skills.

The Business Development Manager is required to display and use skills such as self-motivation, a drive for results, excellent peer relationships, customer centricity, positive mindset & problem-solving, agility, and collaborative communication.

Education and Experience
  • Graduate
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and restaurant environment
  • Understanding of budgets, targets, and strategic applications to achieve these
  • Solid negotiating skills
