This is a 6mth contract and an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst based in South Africa to get UK Financial Services experience and deliver some strong wins. It would suit someone who like to deliver at pace and already has financial services experience, particularly in wealth management or financial planning or asset management.

About the role

Working as part of our Front To Back team (F2B), a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Business Analyst supporting the Business Transformation Managers improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of our wealth management processes. This role analyses business processes, identifies operational improvements, and supports the implementation of scalable solutions to enhance the processing of client paperwork.

Accountabilities
  • Work closely with the Business Transformation Managers to document and prioritise requirements in an agile environment.
  • Operational Analysis - Evaluate current operational workflows and recommend improvements to streamline processes across client onboarding, product execution, settlements, and reporting.
  • Process Documentation - Create and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system workflows.
  • Process Improvement - Identify inefficiencies in current wealth management processes and recommend solutions to optimize performance and client satisfaction.
  • Convert business requirements into clear and concise artefacts such as: user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and data requirements.
  • Change Management - Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes by coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with operations, compliance, and front-office teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Governance Support - Ensure operational processes receive appropriate scrutiny and governance before implementation.
  • Testing & Validation - Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements and operational changes.
  • Data & Metrics - Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements.
  • Support a continuous improvement mindset
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Six Sigma.
  • 3+ years Business Analyst experience with at least 2 years in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Financial Planning, or similar.
  • Understanding of Investment Products or Portfolio Management or Financial Planning.
  • Must have proven experience in a medium sized firm with the ability to work independently within a small team.
  • Experience with CRM systems, portfolio management platforms, or financial planning software or platforms such as IRESS or XPlan.
  • Happy to attend our Somerset West offices 3 days per week.
  • Comfortable working with both onsite teams and remote teams.
  • Desirable if you have proficiency in data analysis - e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, DOMO.
