About the job: Bookkeeper (Finance focused)
Job Responsibilities/Specific Duties
Accounting/Finance
- Experience with Debtors and Creditors
- Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Managing Payroll
- Proficiency in Quickbooks or Pastel
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Records and accounts for daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of files and supporting documentation
- Manages cash flow, bank accounts, and petty cash fund
- Processes cash disbursements according to policies and approval levels
- Processes payroll, remits taxes, and reports to government agencies
- Handles full accounts payable functions, from procurement to invoice payments
- Processes employee expense reimbursements
- Ensures timely payments to payees and maintains payee files
- Prepares monthly financial and internal management reports
- Performs month-end and year-end closing duties
- Performs other related tasks as assigned
Office Operations/Administration
- Manages office operations and administration
- Keeps registration requirements current and manages statutory returns and renewals
- Oversees local IT contracts, ensuring infrastructure needs are met, including IT equipment maintenance, security, and backups
