Bookkeeper position available in Port Elizabeth.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper for a renowned logistics firm in Port Elizabeth.

Salary: R20 000 per month.

Working hours are 8am till 3pm.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years bookkeeping experience.
  • Qualification in Accounting / Bookkeeping is essential.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be proficient in Pastel

Key Performance Areas:

  • Recording of all financial transactions up to trial balance for 5 entities
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Preparation of Vat submissions
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Monitoring fuel consumption and reconciling fuel account.
  • Dealing with emails and correspondence
  • Preparation of information to assist the accountants with Year End Financials
  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly creditors
  • Preparation of bi-weekly sundry payments
  • Preparation and monitoring of municipal accounts and dealing with municipal queries.
  • Assisting Accountants with various statutory requirements for the different entities.
  • Invoicing of tenants and monitoring rental income.
  • Corresponding with Managing agents with matters pertaining to properties
  • Preparation and monitoring of monthly levy payments
  • Assisting with payroll preparation.
  • Ordering of office supplies and monitoring usage.
  • Liaising with service providers
  • Assisting with HR
  • Preparation and assisting with BEEE audits
  • Assisting with Dept of labour audits
  • Communication with service providers for building maintenance.
  • Handling insurance matters with brokers.
