Job summary

A recruitment agency in Durban is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial accounts, prepare trial balances and VAT submissions, and support audits. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, a qualification in bookkeeping, and strong knowledge of VAT and accounting software. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Managing debtors, creditors, bank reconciliations, and petty cash
• Reporting to financial manager
• Day-to-day bookkeeping, reconcilations
• Preparing trial balances, VAT submissions, and financial statements
• Supporting audits, monthly reports, and stock reporting
• Assisting with administrative duties to ensure smooth departmental operations

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ bookkeeping experience (motor industry advantageous)
• Bookkeeping qualification required
• SAP experience required
• Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of accounting software and Excel
• Must be well-spoken and presentable for working with clients
• Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
