Job description

PG Glass is the leading supplier of auto glass and building glass replacement services in Southern Africa. Over 110 Fitment Centres are available to replace or repair auto glass, PG Glass Medic® chip repair, windscreen wipers, TempSecure windows and replace glass in homes and buildings. A 24 hour contact centre is available to serve customers and process insurance claims. PG Glass fit only genuine Shatterprufe®, Safevue®, OE glass, Armourplate®, LLumar® and PG SmartGlass® products.

Main Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality automotive glass fitment services and exceptional customer experience through professional workmanship, technical proficiency, and efficient execution of all fitment, logistics, and support activities, while upholding PG Glass standards and brand values.

Main Objectives
Customer Experience
  • Deliver professional, friendly service to both customers and colleagues
  • Ensure quality workmanship and on‑time job completion
  • Represent the PG brand through appearance, attitude, and service excellence
& Technical Execution (Levels 1-4)
  • Perform one‑man fittings on various vehicle types, including advanced models (e.g., S‑Class Mercedes, Audi A6)
  • Take full responsibility for all allocated jobs
  • Handle customer queries and process payments where applicable
  • Maintain consistently high productivity and quality standards
  • Mentor junior technicians at applicable levels
Logistics & Support
  • Load glass accurately according to work orders
  • Ensure safe, clean, and damage‑free deliveries
  • Obtain customer sign‑off and manage COD payments
  • Submit accurate documentation daily
Housekeeping, Safety & Reporting
  • Uphold the PG Glass image through clean attire and professional behaviour
  • Maintain tools and vehicles; report damages or faults immediately
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and safety procedures
  • Report all issues, accidents, or suspected fraud to management or KPMG
Team Collaboration
  • Support the Fitment Centre team as required
  • Take on leadership or supervisory responsibilities at higher technician levels
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience
  • 1-3 years' experience in automotive glass fitting (depending on technician level)
