Job description

We are seeking a Qualified or Semi-Skilled Auto Electrician with experience working on heavy equipment, plant machinery, and trucks. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex auto electrical systems in a variety of industrial and commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy‑duty equipment, trucks, and plant machinery.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring, lighting, ignition, and control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  • Work with both 12V and 24V systems, including alternators, starter motors, and electronic control modules.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic reports.
  • Conduct fault finding using appropriate diagnostic tools and software.
  • Ensure all work is performed in line with safety standards and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Auto Electrician or proven experience as a Semi‑Skilled Auto Electrician.
  • Minimum of [X] years experience with heavy machinery, plant, and trucks.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
