They are looking for a skilled and experienced Conveyancing Attorney to join our legal team. You will be responsible for handling all aspects of residential and/or commercial property transactions, ensuring legal compliance and providing expert guidance to clients. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing residential and/or commercial conveyancing transactions from inception to completion.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, transfer deeds, leases, and mortgage documentation.
- Conducting due diligence, including reviewing title documents, property searches, and managing any arising legal issues.
- Advising clients on all legal aspects of property transactions, including ownership structures, financing, and potential risks.
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, local authorities, and other solicitors.
- Ensuring all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Land Registry procedures.
- Handling post-completion matters such as SDLT submissions, registration of property, and ensuring all documents are filed correctly.
- Supervising junior staff, paralegals, or legal assistants, as required.
- Keeping up to date with developments in property law and regulatory changes affecting conveyancing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified attorney with a valid practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in handling residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters independently.
- Strong knowledge of property law, contracts, and conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Significant experience in conveyancing, preferably within a law firm or real estate legal practice.
