Main Purpose of Job
Under the supervision of the Technical Manager, oversee the technical team and manage, improve, and optimise the technical operations within the facility. Act as the management representative for quality management, continuous improvement, and occupational health safety related to the engineering aspects of the facilities. Perform maintenance on buildings and equipment to ensure that assets are upheld to their original state.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Oversee the management and maintenance of building, plant and equipment
- Manage and support technical projects within the Hospital
- Manage and mitigate Technical Operations risk within the Hospital
- Oversee and manage on‑site contractors / suppliers in the Hospital
- Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations
- Manage stakeholder relations and client service within the technical environment at Mediclinic
- Lead and manage the people in the technical team
- Manage and control department budget / finances
Required Education
- NQF level 6 Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with Thermodynamics and Electro Technology passed at 2nd‑year level.

- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

Experience
- Minimum 4 years' of post‑graduate engineering experience with HVAC and auxiliary electrical power supplies exposure.
- Experience within a facility management environment
