The role ensures accurate creation and management of capital projects in SAP IM and PS, robust monitoring of capex spend against approved budgets, and delivery of high-quality capital reporting and insights to stakeholders. The position supports strategic investment decisions through feasibility modelling, performance analytics, and compliance with financial reporting and statutory requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferable)
  • 2-5 years' experience in finance, capital expenditure management, or financial analysis
  • Strong SAP experience (IM module advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of capital budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis
  • Experience working with large data sets and multiple stakeholders
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactional work
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities

Key Responsibilities
Capital Project Administration (SAP)
  • Create internal order numbers in SAP for approved capital projects; a high-volume, transaction-driven responsibility
  • Manage internal order movements by reallocating funds between projects as required by stakeholders and in line with approvals
  • Perform year-end close-out and rollover of BANs to ensure accurate system reporting
Capex Tracking, Reporting & Governance
  • Build and maintain capital expenditure trackers, monitoring budgets, actuals, commitments, and forecasts
  • Track and monitor capital approvals, ensuring spend aligns with approved investment cases
  • Prepare detailed capex reporting and slides for the group reporting team in the required format and level of detail
  • Track capital commitments, perform age analysis, assist with timely settlement, and work with stakeholders to manage long lead-time outstanding commitments
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Complete Property, Plant and Equipment (PPE) and Intangible Asset notes for the Group Annual
  • Complete capital commitments disclosure
  • Liaise closely with the Group Financial Reporting team to provide accurate and timely information when required especially during half year and year end
  • Fulfil STATSSA and other retail-related reporting requirements as required
Performance Analytics & Business Insights
  • Produce store and project performance reporting by comparing original approved ROIs and benchmarks against actual performance
  • Conduct trend analysis to assess historical investment performance and provide predictive insights to influence future investment decisions
Feasibilities & Capital Planning
  • Develop financial models and feasibilities for new stores, refurbishments, and alternative store formats
  • Support capital budgeting by collating and consolidating annual capital budgets across the group
Ad Hoc
  • Process corporate credit card transactions related to travel and capital projects
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within capex reporting, tracking, and governance processes
