Job Advert Summary

To provide back-up and support to the Instrumentation department Mechanicians. Assist in maintenance, installation and perform fault finding to improve the reliability and availability of the plant. Assist Instrumentation Foreperson with admin duties i.e. updating the Quality File, SHE File

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• 1 Year experience in similar position

Primary Duties

• Transporting instrumentation equipment and tools, i.e. loading and offloading tools, equipment on site
• General cleaning, lubricating tools, washing and cleaning instruments, panels and filed instruments
• Clean and remove scrap from work site area and deposit in dustbins
• Cleaning and washing departmental vehicles
• Assist Artisan with general cable work i.e. tracing, pulling cables for the installation and maintenance of CCTV, dig trenches for installation of cables, recovering unused and damaged cables
• General assistance i.e. identifying tools, handing over and handling of tools and testing equipment

Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of instrumentation
• Knowledge of maintenance of automation equipment
