Overview

Fine Art Portfolio is an upmarket art gallery representing a collection of established art galleries in South Africa, with a gallery situated in the heart of Franschhoek, as well as an exciting short-term “pop-up” store at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal. The gallery caters to both locals and tourists alike and offers one of the largest selections of South African fine art as well as homewares. They are looking for Promoters to hand out flyers in areas surrounding the galleries and pop-up spaces.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Hand out fliers to the public
• Engage with potential customers with information about the gallery
• Directing potential customers to the gallery

Required Skills & Experience

• Work experience and industry exposure
• No previous experience required
• Knowledge of local artists and art, advantageous
• Knowledge of the location and ability to give directions, advantageous
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable approaching strangers and engaging with them
• Strong verbal communication skills, able to make yourself understood to non-English speakers
• Able to communicate effectively with people from all ages and stages of life
• Ability to communicate in other languages e.g. German, French, Italian etc, advantageous
• Physically fit, able to walk long distances and be on your feet all day
• Enthusiastic
