Job summary

A leading security service provider is seeking a Supervisor to oversee security operations in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will manage staffing, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with client and company standards. Applicants should have at least a Matric/Grade 12 qualification, a valid driver's license, and 2-3 years supervisory experience, preferably in a security environment. This role will require strong leadership and communication skills while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day security operations and staffing across allocated sites
• Conduct regular site visits, inspections and officer check-ups
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, site instructions and client requirements
• Plan and manage rosters, relief, overtime and leave in line with labour requirements
• Lead, guide and support security officers; address performance and conduct issues
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and respond to queries or complaints
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of incident, inspection and operational reports
• Promote a safe, compliant and professional security service at all times

Skills and Competencies

• Strong supervisory and leadership ability in an operational environment
• Good understanding of labour management (attendance, discipline, basic labour law)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with staff and clients
• Ability to work under pressure and handle incidents or emergencies calmly
• Planning, organising and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office)
• High level of integrity, reliability and professionalism

Qualifications
