AnyVan is expanding AI-powered sales agents across voice and digital channels to support high-volume, high-value customer journeys. To make sure these AI agents sell like our top performers, curious, confident, warm, and commercially sharp, we're hiring an AI Sales Conversation Quality Specialist.
This is not a technical role. It’s a commercial one.
Your job is to analyse conversations, spot missed revenue opportunities, refine objection handling, push continuous improvement, and shape the AI to behave like a world-class sales rep. You’ll use data, A/B testing, and experimentation to drive conversion uplift and build a feedback engine that scales.
You’ll be the person who ensures our AI doesn’t just “sound good” - it sells.
You will review the previous day’s performance daily, spotting gaps instantly and pushing rapid fixes - this role requires someone who is over-the-top detail-obsessed and thrives in fast, high-precision environments.
What You’ll Do
- Build a High-Performing AI Sales Voice Agent
- Review voice and chat transcripts to ensure sales tone, confidence, and effective framing are strong and natural.
- Ensure the AI mirrors our top agents: curious, consultative, warm, and commercially minded.
- Rewrite weak responses into commercially impactful options.
- Drive Sales Conversion & Identify Missed Opportunities
- Strategise and build conversation logic to improve user experience.
- Spot gaps in objection handling, reassurance, anchoring, price framing, urgency, and close attempts.
- Recommend targeted improvements to boost impact and apply approved fixes quickly and accurately.
- Review prior-day performance and analyse conversations and data to identify where the AI missed chances to progress the sale - nothing slips past you.
- Translate findings, patterns, and test results into clear, digestible reports that can be understood by both technical and non-technical teams.
- Run A/B Testing & Experimentation
- Partner with our teams to run structured A/B tests on phrasing, call flow, objection scripts, close attempts, and sales nudges.
- Track performance trends and push new experiments proactively.
- Take full ownership of testing what works - and killing what doesn’t - quickly.
- Shape Sales Prompts, Logic & Behaviour
- Distinguish between language gaps, logic gaps, and policy errors.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI technology to continuously enhance capabilities.
- Take ownership of your own development and advocate for upskilling opportunities to stay ahead of emerging trends.
- Ensure Operational Accuracy Without Losing Commercial Impact
- Validate that system/API actions were done correctly (quotes, callbacks, booking steps, etc.).
- Make sure the AI stays compliant while still driving the sale forward.
- Flag any operational or compliance risks early and drive fixes aggressively.
- Build a Repeatable QA Structure for Sales
- Run daily/weekly conversation QA focused on commercial effectiveness.
- Stress-test new features, sales flows, and behaviour changes before launch.
- Keep a prioritised improvement log with patterns, themes, and next steps.
- Bring an “OTT-level” eye for detail - patterns, micro-phrasing issues, tone slips, and logic jumps must be caught immediately and documented clearly.
- Create a Best-in-Class Sales Response Library
- Identify, capture and implement high-performing sales phrases, closes, objections, and framing.
- Build a “What good looks like” library for AI + human onboarding.
- Document weak or conversion-killing interactions to avoid repetition.
Who You Are
- A natural communicator with an instinct for effective, human sales language.
- Experienced in Sales, QA and/or Enablement.
- Proven experience in developing conversational AI solutions.
- Extremely detail-obsessed- you notice tiny phrasing differences, micro-tone shifts, and subtle logic issues instantly.
- Curious, experimental, unafraid to try new approaches and challenge standard thinking.
- Obsessed with improvement - you want to run 10 tests to find the 1 that moves conversion.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable analysing large sets of transcripts/calls continually.
- Operationally sharp: you understand rules, journeys, and the importance of accuracy.
- You move fast and aggressively drive improvement.
