Key Responsibilities
  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping reconciliations and supplier payments
  • Prepare and submit EMP201 EMP501 and VAT returns accurately and on time
  • Generate client statements invoices and payment reminders
  • Manage creditors debtors and petty cash
  • Maintain accurate records and support management with monthly reporting
  • Liaise with external accountants and management regarding financial queries
  • Ensure compliance with SARS and statutory deadlines
  • Implement and maintain practical systems to keep financial admin running smoothly
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or service industry preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of SARS submissions VAT and payroll processing
  • Proficient in accounting software e.g. Sage QuickBooks or Zoho Books
  • Strong Excel and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proven track record of reliability and meeting deadlines
