Job description

RPO Recruitment's client in KwaZulu-Natal is currently looking for an Accountant. Their responsibility is to maintain oversight of inter-company accounts and effectively oversee non-gaming revenue and food and beverage cost management in accordance with necessary standards and in full adherence to relevant legal and accounting regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard and manage company funds and assets while overseeing accounting systems
  • Analyze operational outcomes and propose cost-cutting and profit-enhancing strategies for Executive Management review
  • Ensure accurate accounting classification for all expenses, both operating and capital
  • Prepare internal and external financial statements
  • Enforce internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure accurate transaction handling
  • Develop long-term plans and budget requirements to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
  • Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant information with employees
  • Manage statutory tax calculations and administration
  • Implement techniques to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and cost savings
Requirements
  • 1-2 years management experience preferably in the Gaming or Hospitality industry
