Responsibilities
  • Accurately record all financial transactions including income expenses assets and liabilities.
  • Perform comprehensive account reconciliations to ensure data integrity and identify / resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare journals for non-cash adjustments to facilitate annual financial statement preparation.
  • Analyze financial information to produce monthly management accounts and present key insights to leadership.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure efficient cash flow.
  • Assist with tax preparation and compliance including VAT and EMP returns.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process conducting variance analysis.
  • Analyze costs and margins to support pricing and profitability decisions.
  • Administer payroll ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
Requirements : Must-Haves
  • BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting / bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in cloud accounting software with a strong emphasis on Sage Online.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles VAT and accounts preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and a client-focused approach.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice or a similar commercial environment.
  • Exposure to tax return preparation and submission.
