System Analyst (Business Intelligence)
Job summary
A reputable tech firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced systems analyst. The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of experience in systems design, development, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include servicing statistical requests, maintaining survey systems, and supporting data warehouse projects. Proficiency in IBM Mainframe, SAS, and SQL Server is required. Good communication skills are essential. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and contribute to impactful data management efforts.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years working experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
- Ability to work independently in gathering user requirements.
- Good communication and writing skills.
Responsibilities
- Service ad-hoc and urgent statistical requests.
- Maintain and enhance the statistical and survey systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse.
Skills
Tools
- At least 6 years working experience in systems analysis, systems design, systems development, and systems quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently in gathering requirements from users, designing, implementing, and maintaining application systems.
- Relevant working experience in the following platforms and programming languages (for the support of the Statistical Systems):
- IBM Mainframe MVS/ESA
- Easytrieve Plus
- SAS
- Teradata
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft SQL DTS/SSIS
- Relevant working experience (for support of the statistical systems):
- To service ad-hoc and urgent statistical requests
- To maintain/enhance the statistical and survey systems
- Data warehouse projects
- IBM Mainframe MVS/ESA
- SAS
- Teradata
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft SQL DTS/SSIS
- Tableau
- Informatica PowerCenter
- Relevant working experience (for the support of the data warehouse):
- Data warehouse design, development, and its maintenance
- Data loading and its process
- Data model and the use of data modeling tool
