Job summary
A marine safety service provider in Singapore is looking for a marine safety technician to work on vessels, focusing on firefighting and safety systems. The role requires experience in the shipping industry and a willingness to work overtime. Responsibilities include preparing service reports, liaising with stakeholders, and conducting inspections. This position is on-site at various locations like West Coast Pier and Marina South Pier.
Qualifications
- Experience in shipping or marine industry.
- Must be willing to work overtime.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out works on board vessels involving various firefighting and safety systems.
- Preparing service reports and certificates.
- Corresponding and arranging jobs with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Liaising with vessel owners, agents, and shipyards on schedules.
- Preparing necessary documentation for smooth operations.
- Conducting maintenance and inspections on marine firefighting and safety systems.
- Carrying out works on board vessels eg., Fixed & portable gas detectors, fixed CO2 fire extinguishing system, fixed dry chemical system and fire alarm system, etc.
- Preparing service report & certificates
- Corresponding & arranging jobs with sub-contractors & suppliers
- Liaising with vessels’ owners, agents and shipyards on vessels schedule and making necessary arrangement
- Preparing necessary documentations to facilitate smooth operations
- Conduct maintenance and inspection on marine firefighting and safety system.
(on site/ Shipyards , West Coast Pier and Marina South Pier)
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Experience in shipping or marine industry.
