Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Implementation:
  • Design and implement system architectures for both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Work closely with project managers and architects to deliver solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Deploy and configure servers, operating systems, network devices, and other critical infrastructure components.
• System Administration:
  • Monitor and maintain the health of critical systems and infrastructure.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security updates as necessary.
  • Administer backups and disaster recovery processes to ensure system availability and data integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  • Provide third-level support for hardware and software issues escalated by helpdesk and support teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis and apply appropriate fixes or patches to resolve system issues.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures for system hardening, user access, and data protection.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Proactively monitor system performance and take necessary actions to prevent system downtime.
  • Perform regular capacity planning and make recommendations for system upgrades or modifications as required.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, developers, and cybersecurity specialists to maintain a robust infrastructure.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Unix).
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience in configuring and managing networking hardware (e.g., routers, firewalls, switches).
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
  • Understanding of storage solutions (e.g., SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in systems administration, engineering, or IT infrastructure.
  • Prior experience with managing complex enterprise-level systems.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar credentials.
