Role overview
The Operations Manager will lead end-to-end e-commerce operations in Singapore, covering inventory management, warehousing, last-mile delivery, returns, and coordination with regional logistics partners. The role is responsible for operational excellence, cost efficiency, and service levels that support rapid growth in the local and regional fashion market, in Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day e-commerce operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, pick/pack/ship, and returns handling for fashion products.
- Manage relationships with local and regional 3PLs, courier partners, and freight forwarders (e.g. for cross-border shipments into Asia) to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Implement and continuously improve SOPs for warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, order processing, and reverse logistics specific to fashion (sizes, colours, seasons, collections).
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery, order cycle time, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and return rates.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and customer service teams in Singapore to support campaign launches, new collection drops, and sales events.
- Lead demand planning and inventory replenishment processes to balance availability, fashion seasonality, and stock risk for both local and regional channels.
- Drive process automation and digitalisation using e-commerce platforms, WMS (Manhattan), OMS (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), and data analytics tools to enhance productivity and visibility.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and company policies relating to workplace safety, employment practices, and data protection when handling customer and order data.
- Develop, coach, and performance-manage the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of operations or supply chain experience, with at least 2–3 years in e-commerce, retail, or fashion-related operations in Singapore or the Asia region.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfillment, last-mile delivery options in Singapore, and cross-border logistics within Asia.
- Proven experience working with 3PLs, parcel/courier networks, and warehouse operations; familiarity with fashion inventory characteristics (SKUs by style, size, colour, season).
- Comfortable using e-commerce platforms and operations systems (Manhattan WMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud OMS, Excel and analytics tools) to monitor performance and drive decisions.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth fashion environment.
