Summary
We’re looking for a Cloud Wintel Engineer (L2) to support and manage Windows workloads across on-premise and multi-cloud environments (mainly AWS, with exposure to Azure and GCP). You’ll handle system administration, patching, troubleshooting, automation, and security compliance.
Responsibilities
Multi-Cloud Windows Operations
- Provide L2 support for Windows Server (2016–2025) across on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Manage AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, and clustering.
- Monitor system performance, security, and availability.
- Participate in 24/7 shift rotation and on-call support.
OS Patching
- Perform patching using WSUS, SCCM, AWS SSM, and Azure Update Management.
- Handle pre/post patch validation, compliance reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Basic understanding of Linux patching (YUM/DNF).
Application Support
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications on Windows servers.
- Analyze logs, tune performance, and resolve OS-level issues.
- Collaborate with app and dev teams for problem resolution.
ITIL & Service Management
- Handle incidents and requests via ServiceNow/Jira.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
- Maintain SLAs and accurate documentation.
Security & Compliance
- Apply CIS hardening and vulnerability remediations.
- Manage IAM permissions and SSL certificates.
- Support security scans, compliance checks, and audit activities.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and remediation.
- Use AWS/Azure/GCP CLI tools for operations.
- Automate repetitive tasks using SSM and other native tools.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Maintain and test server backup and DR strategies.
- Participate in BCP/DR drills and maintain recovery documentation.
Monitoring & Observability
- Configure CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and GCP Monitoring.
- Set alerts, analyze logs, and ensure proactive issue detection.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
- Contribute to team knowledge base and process improvements.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of Windows administration experience.
- 2+ years of cloud operations experience (AWS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of patching, ITSM, and security hardening.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Willing to work shifts and on-call rotations.

- Security Tools: Trend Micro Vision One, Qualys, Tenable, AWS Config, Azure Security Center
- Scripting: PowerShell, AWS CLI, Azure CLI, gcloud CLI
- ITIL & ITSM: ServiceNow, Jira, ITIL processes
- Backup & Recovery: AWS/Azure Backup, Windows Server Backup
- Containers: Basic Docker, Kubernetes
- DevSecOps: Familiar with SHIP-HATS / CI/CD
Preferred Certifications
- AWS or Azure Administrator/Architect Associate
- CompTIA Security+, LPIC-1/RHCSA
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation
