Job description
Job Descriptions:
  • Execute buy/sell, import/export, and international trading operations for LNG products and alternative energy products such as biofuels, carbon credits, electricity value chain, aluminum, copper, hydrogen, etc including related derivatives tools. In accordance with the policies or directives assigned by International Trading management and PTT, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Implement work plans and commercial strategies to maximize revenue and profit, emphasizing business stability and national energy security, in alignment with departmental targets and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate systematically with relevant internal and external units within the international trading business including operations, sourcing and trading, derivatives trading, logistics, risk management, accounting, finance, and legal to determine appropriate terms and conditions for buying/selling, import/export, international trading of alternative energy, LNG tolling, and other related activities, ensuring effective issue resolution and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with trading networks, business partners, and relevant government agencies to exchange market intelligence, enhance corporate image and credibility, and identify business opportunities for sustainable operations under good corporate governance.
  • Optimize the use of commercial resources, including but not limited to, such as commercial contracts, long‑term chartered vessels, storage systems, and inventory management tools to maximize commercial value.
  • Participate in corporate projects and initiatives to enhance sales opportunities and drive synergy for maximum benefit to the PTT Group, such as involvement in PRISM, PTT Ship Vetting, Mission X, Scale up project and GLM programs.
  • Collaborate with overseas offices (e.g., Singapore, Dubai, London, Shanghai, Jakarta) in LNG and alternative energy trading under a Global Book approach to increase foreign income, expand trading networks, and strengthen international trading capabilities.
  • Prepare Trading Tickets and record commercial agreements in the CTRM system for transactions within the required timeframe and in compliance with international trading business unit regulations.
  • Execute work plans supporting government policies on alternative energy in accordance with defined objectives.
  • Conduct meetings, coordination, and relationship building with producers, buyers, partners, foreign media, and government officials to enhance trading opportunities, efficiency, and timely exchange of commercial information consistent with business changes and volatility.
  • Prepare systematic and accurate reports on trading activities, buying, selling, swaps, tolling along with pricing information and market conditions for internal use and for relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Monitor, update, and revise pricing and related information, resolving issues to ensure continuous and timely contract compliance.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in business or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in LNG, oil and gas industry.
  • At least 2 years overseas/international business management experience; can effectively leverage internal networks and has good, detailed knowledge of PTT Group business.
  • Proficiency in Thai language as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai‑speaking parties.
  • Special knowledge: PTTPLC policy / TBU policy / TBU operation.
  • Acute business sense and solid experience in overseas/international business management.
  • Good in negotiation and coordination with counter parties and related parties.
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
