Qualifications

• COC Class 1 or 2 holders with sailing experience on oil tankers.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Technical Superintendent.
• Preferred: Foreign going Chief Engineer with sea experience.

Responsibilities

• Superintendent of all technical and safety matters concerning Company vessels.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance of vessels.
• Negotiate with Class Surveyors regarding vessel surveys.
• Advise the Master and Chief Engineer on maintenance work.
• Examine vessel machinery for cleanliness and maintenance progress.
• Conduct damage surveys on vessels.
• Supervise repairs and restoration of vessels as needed.
• Prepare additional proposals for regulatory compliance.
• Act as liaison officer and trainer for Cadet officer.
