RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, analyze, and optimize server and application performance to ensure IT services remain stable, scalable, and able to meet evolving business needs.
Maintain subject matter expertise in all system applications, stay informed of emerging technologies, and provide support for production environments by resolving technical issues promptly.
Perform routine system maintenance and server administration, addressing technical problems in a timely and effective manner.
Design and implement solutions to address network issues, system administration challenges, and application-related errors.
Monitor systems proactively to identify and resolve potential errors and performance issues.
Assess IT infrastructure to ensure optimal compatibility, usability, and cost-effectiveness.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for IT infrastructure, participating in incident triage, change management processes, and relevant project implementations.
Provide technical advice, support, and guidance to staff and management on issues related to networking, operations, applications, and desktop support.
Ensure that all system and network documentation is up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies and procedures.
Source hardware and software from current or new vendors as needed.
Evaluate IT quotations and proposals, ensuring alignment with budget requirements, and maintain records of maintenance agreements with third-party providers.
Deliver technical training, support, and guidance to users to ensure efficient system utilization.
Manage capacity planning and maintenance for IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, business applications, network security, and internet services.
Review and recommend improvements to current system practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining an up-to-date inventory of IT assets.
Research and implement technical solutions aligned with organizational goals, provide regular progress updates to management, and conduct system testing to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain and update quality records in accordance with standard procedures for document identification, filing, storage, and disposal.
Support the management and proper maintenance of internal documentation where applicable.
Provide feedback to management regarding vendor performance to support procurement and evaluation decisions.
Cover the duties of colleagues during their absence to maintain business continuity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
A recognized diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing servers and network infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of VMware, Office 365, and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and frameworks such as ISO 27000.
Solid understanding of networking, including Cisco routers/switches, TCP/IP, and network security.
Excellent troubleshooting and technical analysis skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines.
