Quality Control jobs in Singapore

The Purchasing Director will oversee sourcing, procurement, and supplier management of building materials—specifically floor tiles, wooden products, and renovation-related items for company projects and new branch developments in Singapore. This role requires strong knowledge of renovation materials, negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships across multiple countries.

• Sourcing & Procurement
  Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and other relevant markets.
  Purchase renovation materials including tiles, wood products, fixtures, and other fit‑out essentials.
  Ensure quality standards, specifications, and timelines are met.
• Supplier & Vendor Management
  Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  Maintain strong supplier relationships and develop alternative sourcing options to ensure competitive advantage.
  Conduct regular supplier audits and quality checks.
• Logistics & Coordination
  Manage import/export documentation, shipping, and customs clearance for goods to Singapore.
  Coordinate with project teams and contractors to ensure timely material delivery for renovation works and new branch openings.
• Budget & Cost Control
  Monitor purchasing budgets, cost‑saving opportunities, and supplier payment terms.
  Provide regular procurement reports to management.
• Project Support
  Work closely with renovation and operations teams for upgrading works or new branch openings.
  Ensure material availability aligns with project schedules.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in purchasing/procurement, preferably in building materials / renovation / interior fit-out industry.
• Strong knowledge of tiles, wood products, flooring, and renovation-related items.
• Regional procurement experience in China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to travel frequently across countries and to Singapore when required.

• Reports to: Director / Head of Operations (Singapore HQ)
• Travel: Extensive regional travel required
• Base Location: Flexible (not Singapore)
