A leading healthcare company is seeking a Senior Optometrist to provide expert clinical services and mentorship in Singapore. The successful candidate will engage in patient refractions, oversee junior staff, and manage specialized clinics independently. A Bachelor's in Optometry and at least 5 years of experience are required.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
Perform accurate objective and subjective refractions for diverse patient groups, including children, elderly, and individuals with special needs.
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior Optometrists and Ophthalmic Technicians.
Handle patient queries and complaints effectively and professionally.
Conduct clinical competency assessments for optometry and administrative staff.
Perform paediatric eye examinations and assist in Myopia Control management using Atropine.
Manage and operate sub-specialty clinics independently.
Provide primary eye care services.
Secondary Duties:
Assist with administrative tasks and staff roster planning.
Stay updated with the latest eye care techniques and technologies through continuous education.
Attend departmental meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Participate in developing new clinical services and ad hoc projects as assigned by Reporting Officer (RO).
Requirements:
Min. Bachelor of Science in Optometry.
Min. 5 years of clinical experience.
Fully registered with the Singapore Optometry Optician Board (OOB).
Strong leadership, supervisory, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and managerial abilities.
