What you will be working on:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Geospatial Systems Analyst to join our Geographic Information System (GIS) development team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development and maintenance of new initiatives and existing enterprise GIS applications. You will provide technical advice and support, offering expertise related to GIS software development, system integration, deployment and operations. Your primary responsibilities will include one of the following categories:
What we are looking for:
• Degree in computer science, GIS or related disciplines• Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience in designing, developing and implementing web-based GIS application solutions or enterprise GIS systems• Driven and skilled in collaborating with teams to analyse business requirements and leverage geospatial technologies to design and implement tailored solutions for enterprise GIS applications• Possess hands-on technical experience in at least two of the areas:o Web application client-side development (e.g. JavaScript ES5/6, ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, jQuery, HTML5/CSS, AJAX/JSON)o Web application server-side development (e.g. ASP.NET Core, C#, Python)o Web GIS development (e.g. ArcGIS JavaScript APIs, ArcGIS Server REST API, WMS)o Database schema design and geospatial queries (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL)o GIS software configuration and implementation (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS server and/or client software like ArcGIS Pro)o Geospatial data processing and libraries (e.g. Python, ArcPy)o Code version control system (e.g. Git)o Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, resourcefulness and problem-solving abilitieso Experience in GIS project management and would be an added advantage
