Job summary
A food manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support in production operations. The ideal candidate should have a tertiary education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in cosmetics, food, or pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in process engineering to facilitate production operations.
- Advice, support and carry out machine acceptance tests, qualification, and validation of production processes and equipment.
- Lead or participate in the investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for various production events and equipment failures; ensure that all relevant CAPAs are completed timely.
- Ensure adequate preventive & predictive maintenance to reduce equipment failures while maintaining quality and productivity; ensure adequate spare part inventory to meet the critical maintenance requirement.
- Work with and supervise vendors/contractors to ensure installation, repairs, or maintenance works are carried out timely and with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, EHS standards, and other relevant policies/standards.
- Ensure workplace safety and be responsible for notifying Management in a timely manner of EHS/GMP deficiencies.
- Support plant automation, Industry 4.0, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of related experience as a manufacturing process engineer in a Cosmetic, Food, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment
- Well versed in GMP
- Good experience in automation and Industry 4.0 plant will be useful for work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Systematic and able to work under pressure
- Excellent analytical and good engineering problem-solving skills, workload resource planning, and prioritization skills
