A leading recruitment firm is seeking a meticulous Junior Accountant based in Singapore to support finance operations. The role involves managing full-set accounting, month-end closings, and compliance with Singapore accounting standards and IRAS regulations. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-3 years of relevant experience. This position offers the opportunity to work across Singapore, Ireland, and the USA with strong analytical skills required, proficiency in Excel, and attention to detail.
We are seeking a meticulous and driven Junior Accountant / Financial Analyst to support our finance operations, with a primary focus on Singapore entities. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Singapore accounting standards, IRAS regulations, GST submissions, and day-to-day financial processes.
This role will also provide support to our Ireland and USA operations, working closely with regional finance teams and external accounting partners to ensure accurate consolidation, reporting, and statutory compliance across all jurisdictions.
Primary Responsibilities – Singapore (Main Scope)
Manage full-set accounting in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and variance analysis.
Handle IRAS-related submissions, including:
GST filings (F5 submissions, adjustments, and reconciliations)
Corporate tax preparation and related documentation
Responding to IRAS queries when necessary
Support finance documentation, cost reporting, and statutory compliance requirements.
Prepare management reports, assist with budgeting processes, and maintain cash-flow tracking.
Coordinate annual audit activities and ensure proper maintenance of supporting documents.
Oversee AR/AP functions, including vendor payments, claims verification, and expense processing.
Extended Responsibilities – Ireland & USA (with Regional Team Support)
Collaborate with local finance teams and external partners to support accounting, reporting, and compliance matters for Ireland and USA entities.
Assist in consolidation activities and ensure alignment with group reporting standards.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, IRAS requirements, and GST processes.
Experience working with multi-region or multi-entity structures is an advantage.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems is beneficial.
