A leading media organization in Singapore seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead internal application platforms. This role involves mentoring a team of engineers, owning the technical roadmap, and ensuring the operational reliability of critical systems. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in software engineering and management, with strong foundations in modern web infrastructure and data content systems. The Digital Platform team in SPH is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead core teams of around 10 engineers building out our internal Application Platforms. This is a leadership position responsible for SPH’s mission‑critical systems:
1. Web Platform: Our internal application platform (think in‑house Vercel, built on AWS, serving React apps for all our publications) that enables product teams to ship features quickly and reliably.
2. Content Platform: The centralised indexing system for our content, powered by OpenSearch, an API layer, and data ingestion pipelines.
This role is ideal for a seasoned manager who thrives on technical challenges and enjoys taking full ownership of their domain.
