Job summary
A leading telecommunications firm in Singapore seeks a senior professional with extensive experience in RAN architecture and strong O-RAN knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of 4G/5G standards and hands-on troubleshooting capabilities. Exceptional communication skills are required for client-facing interactions. Candidates should possess at least 10 years in the industry, with 5 years in a technical leadership role.
Qualifications
- 10-15+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in senior RAN architecture or leadership.
- Deep knowledge of 4G/5G RAN architecture and relevant standards.
- Proven O-RAN expertise, specifically with 7.2x fronthaul split.

- Experience:10-15+ years in the telecommunications industry, with at least 5 years in a senior RAN architecture or technical leadership role.
- RAN Expertise:Deep, authoritative knowledge of 4G/5G RAN architecture, 3GPP standards, call flows, and key procedures.
- O-RAN Specialization (Must-Have):Proven experience with the O-RAN Alliance architecture, specifically the 7.2x fronthaul split, and a strong understanding of CU/DU functions, F1/E1/A1/E2 interfaces, and the role of the SMO and RIC.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting:Demonstrable experience using protocol analyzers (Wireshark, etc.), log analysis tools, and performance monitoring systems to solve complex RAN problems.
- Client-Facing Gravitas:Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to remain calm, articulate, and credible in high-pressure client situations.
- Direct experience with competitor vRAN solutions (Mavenir, Rakuten/Altiostar, Samsung), scripting skills (Python), and familiarity with Telco Cloud platforms (Kubernetes, OpenStack).
