Overview

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) is a 795-bed general and acute care hospital that serves more than 550,000 people living in the northern sector of Singapore. KTPH combines medical expertise with high standards of personalized care, set within a healing environment, to provide care that is good enough for our own loved ones.

Urology department at KTPH provides a comprehensive cover for general scopes of Urology as well as sub-specialty care in oncology, endourology, urolithiasis, andrology and functional/continence care. We are also an accredited specialist training center for the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Urology Residency program.

Role

As a resident physician, you will be responsible for providing specialist urological care of patients under the supervision of senior doctors and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Your roles and responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient care, on call duties for emergency, teaching and supervision to junior medical staff and other duties as assigned by your supervisor. There will be opportunity to gain experience and training in urological procedures as well as research exposure.

Job Requirements
  • Possess a qualification from one the Universities/Medical Institutions listed in the Schedules of the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Registered as a medical doctor in the country of conferment of medical qualification and last place(s) of practice.
  • Possess at least 3 years of working experience as a Resident Physician (or equivalent) in the relevant specialty.
  • Remain in active clinical practice for the immediate past 3 years.
  • Candidate whose basic medical qualification is not conducted in the English language must provide evidence of English Proficiency and meet the acceptable score specified by the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Must be granted medical registration by the Singapore Medical Council.
