About the Role

The company is hiring a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer (Energy Systems / Battery Management Systems) to spearhead the design, integration, and delivery of advanced energy technologies, starting with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and expanding into future energy storage innovations like solid-state batteries.

The person will serve as a technical authority and project leader, guiding system design, overseeing integration, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and engaging with clients. They will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the company's R&D and strategic energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and integration of battery management systems and advanced energy technologies (e.g., solid-state batteries).
  • Conduct complex power system studies including load flow, protection coordination, and stability analyses.
  • Oversee system integration of energy storage and power distribution systems.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout project life cycles, from proposal to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, software, and systems engineers) to deliver complete solutions.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation such as specifications, reports, and design packages.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, translating requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers; act as technical reviewer for deliverables.
  • Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as the Agile Energy Services Hub.
What We're Looking For
  • Education & Experience: Master\'s/Bachelor\'s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems, with at least 8 years\' experience in power systems or energy technology.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record in battery management systems, energy storage, power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like PSCAD, ETAP, PSS/E, MATLAB/Simulink; strong in system integration and complex power studies (load flow, stability, protection).
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and manage projects end-to-end (from proposal to commissioning).
  • Client-facing: Comfortable engaging with stakeholders, translating technical needs into solutions.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of IEEE/IEC standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prior R&D or innovation project experience is an advantage.
