An international software solutions provider is seeking a Senior Chief Architect in Singapore to shape the technical direction for key accounts, especially in regulated industries. This leadership role focuses on operational resilience, compliance frameworks, and hybrid cloud strategies. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Kubernetes and enterprise automation, along with exceptional communication skills to influence top-level executives. This position offers a unique platform to drive industry innovation and maintain a significant organizational impact.
The Field CTO organization at Red Hat exists to deeply engage with executive and technical leaders in accelerating transformation towards “what’s next.” We serve as executive trusted advisors and technical leaders, promoting Red Hat’s vision and solving complex business challenges through collaborative, engineered solutions. We bridge the gap between our customers’ unique needs and our Product and Global Engineering teams to influence the future of our portfolio.
The Senior Chief Architect is a high-impact, strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the technical direction for Red Hat’s most significant accounts across APAC, with a specific focus on Regulated Industries (Financial Services, Public Sector, Healthcare, and Utilities).
You will serve as a recognized global authority, driving innovation in Operational Resilience and Policy-as-Code to help customers navigate complex regulatory landscapes. By leveraging Enterprise Automation and AIOps, you will guide organizations in building self‑healing, compliant, and highly available hybrid cloud environments. This role requires a blend of deep technical mastery, industry-specific foresight, and the ability to influence C‑level decision‑makers.
Act as a consulted resource for vertical‑specific challenges in early‑stage strategic conversations.
Partner with C‑level executives in regulated sectors to align their business goals with emerging technology trends (e.g., Operational Resilience regulations in Finance or CPS 230 in Australia).
Lead platform maturity assessments to map customer maturity and align multi‑year platform adoption strategies.
Identify unaddressed technology gaps during technical win pursuits and orchestrate co‑engineering efforts to bridge them.
Operational Resilience: Define architectural patterns that ensure continuous availability and rapid recovery in mission‑critical environments.
Compliance-as-Code: Architect solutions using Policy-as-Code frameworks to automate regulatory alignment and security governance.
AIOps & Automation: Drive the vision for “Zero‑Touch” operations by integrating AIOps into enterprise‑wide automation strategies.
Hybrid Cloud: Modernize legacy infrastructure into flexible, modular hybrid cloud platforms using Kubernetes and GitOps.
Represent Red Hat as a technical authority at major global and regional forums, both external and internal (e.g., KubeCon, Open Source Summit, AWS re:Invent, Red Hat Summit).
Publish influential content—whitepapers, blogs, and reference architectures—highlighting innovation in Regulated Industries.
Contribute to upstream open‑source communities or industry standards organizations to shape the future of regulated technology.
Bridge to Engineering: Sense strategic signals from the market and synthesize them into actionable insights for Red Hat’s Product and Global Engineering (P&GE) teams.
Scale Expertise: Mentor senior architects and field technical teams, acting as a sponsor for technical career growth within the region.
Validated Patterns: Develop and maintain “Validated Solution Patterns” that turn complex, one‑off customer successes into repeatable business value.
As a Senior Chief Architect, your performance will be measured against the following quarterly goals:
Executive Support: Support identified strategic customers through meetings, assessments, and Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs).
Influence Strategic Deals: Advance strategic deals ($>1 M ARR) through direct architectural intervention.
Thought Leadership: Publish influential content pieces (blog, video, podcast, or demo) per quarter.
Public Speaking: Deliver high‑impact technical presentations at strategic industry events.
Community & Co‑engineering: Lead co‑engineering projects resulting in a technical artifact (Validated Pattern or Blueprint) and contribute to relevant upstream open source projects.
Mastery of Hybrid Cloud: Deep experience with Kubernetes‑based platforms (OpenShift) across on‑prem and public clouds.
Compliance & Security: Practical experience with Policy-as-Code (OPA, Kyverno) and automated compliance frameworks.
Automation & AIOps: Proven track record with Enterprise Automation (Ansible) and AI/ML pipelines for operational use cases (MLOps).
Reliability Engineering: Strong understanding of SRE principles and Operational Resilience strategies.
Regulated Markets: 12+ years of experience in senior technology roles, with at least 5 years specifically serving Financial Services, Government, or other highly regulated sectors.
Strategic Influence: Experience influencing C‑suite stakeholders on multi‑million dollar technology investments.
Open Source: Demonstrated commitment to open‑source principles and community engagement.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional “squads” across Sales, Services, and Engineering without direct authority.
Willingness to travel across the APAC region to engage with key customers and partners.
Global Impact: The platform to influence the roadmap of the world’s leading open‑source enterprise software provider.
Innovation Freedom: A unique mandate to think “beyond the truck” and prototype solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.
Industry Recognition: Opportunity to build a personal brand as a premier industry expert in Regulated Industry transformation.
